New basement for a newbuild home
This valued client bought her first house, a newbuild in one of Calgary’s newest communities, but she needed help to finish turning her new house into a home. Over the course of two months, I came up with creative ways to maximize her budget and space to create a bright, modern and tranquil basement suit for family, guests or potential tenants.
MY OWN HOME - A PASSION PROJECT
My own home – an ongoing, and hopefully never ending, passion project on 5.5 acres in Alberta’s Foothills. This two-bed, two bath, open-concept home was designed to suit my basic needs, while also allowing for easy and structurally sound expansion as my family grew.
For over two years, I spent my evenings and weekends building the vast majority of this home on my own – from the road and foundation to the tile and windows, I did it all. That being said, I knew when to call in professionals to assist in the installation of my electrical panel, gas lines, fireplace, HVAC, and water treatment systems, which ensured my home was safe and met or exceeded Alberta building code requirements.
Classic bungalow meets modern-traditional style
One of my first major projects was transforming the entire main floor and updating the basement of an outdated bungalow into a modern, family-friendly home with traditional style. Not only were the kitchen, bathrooms and living spaces given a fresh overhaul, but I brought all plumbing, electrical and structural aspects up to code.
A new car means a new garage
These long-standing clients of mine were so thrilled with their new car, that they decided to build a large garage addition to keep it safe and secure. I was my pleasure to help protect their valuables by building a 1270 sqft garage with a concrete floor, insulation, two garage doors, lighting, a cold storage room and workshop space.
Decked out
These lucky homeowners got the deck of their dreams and I had the pleasure of building it. With over 800 sqft of living space and a built in firepit, this deck was ready to be enjoyed year round by this young family.
NeW HOME BASEMENT FINISHING
This new home in Mahogany needed finishing done in their basement. New doors, casing, window boxes and baseboards all sprayed for a beautiful finish. Walls finished with primer and 2 coats paint.
